The Córdoba conference places anti-Muslim discrimination on the OSCE agenda

← Back to Dashboard
📅 9 October 2007 📍 Spain; International

The OSCE Chairmanship opened a two-day conference in Córdoba devoted to intolerance and discrimination against Muslims. Government representatives, experts and civil-society participants addressed stereotypes, consequences of exclusion and possible responses; a preparatory NGO meeting had preceded it. The conference institutionalized discussion of a specific form of discrimination rather than treating Muslim grievances as a security problem. The date marks the opening day, not the closing declaration.
