← Back to Dashboard
📅 11 February 1969 📍 Canada

Police entered Sir George Williams University as the student occupation ended amid a fire and property damage. Arrests and subsequent prosecutions became a major issue for Black activists. The confrontation showed how an unresolved discrimination complaint could become a struggle over the authority of a university, the treatment of protesters and the use of police power.
