The Quebec Superior Court struck down some parts of Bill 21 while leaving most of the religious-symbol restrictions intact. The Canadian Civil Liberties Association, litigating with NCCM and Muslim teacher Ichrak Nourel Hak, emphasized the harms to affected workers and pledged to continue the struggle. The decision provided partial relief, rather than invalidating the law in its entirety.
