Delegates opened the Afro-Asian Peoples’ Solidarity Conference in Cairo, continuing until 1 January 1958. The meeting built a network supporting national liberation and opposition to colonialism. It extended Bandung’s solidarity into organizing among political and social movements, linking struggles across borders rather than relying entirely on relations between governments.
