The All-African Convention meets against segregation bills

Delegates at Bloemfontein brought organizations together against legislation threatening African political and land rights. The convention sought a united response to segregation. Collective organizing treated exclusion as an institutional problem affecting communities, rather than a collection of isolated incidents that could be solved only through individual advancement.
