According to the journal entry dated 22 December 1849, following the death of co-owner J. A. Greeber, ownership of the enslaved person passed to P. N. Greeber, E. T. A. Greeber, A. W. F. Labadie née Greeber, C. H. Greeber and S. G. E. Leers née Greeber. The first three thereby each became owners of a 1/15 share and the last two each of a 6/15 share, after P. N. Greeber had sold his 1/3 share to C. H. Greeber on the same day.. The date used here is the mutation or registration date, which may differ from the actual date of the event.
