ANC launches its 2026 local government election manifesto in Diepsloot

The ANC launched its local government manifesto at Riverside Park in Diepsloot after consulting communities and reviewing its 2021 manifesto. It set out priorities for the next municipal term and acknowledged that the party had to account for its local-government record. Launching the programme in a township kept the campaign close to residents’ everyday experiences of municipal services, infrastructure and public participation. The manifesto is a set of promises and should be compared with both local testimony and the ANC’s record in councils.
