The ANC convened its 6th National Policy Conference at Nasrec in Johannesburg to review policy ahead of its elective conference. Delegates considered organisational renewal, economic transformation, women’s emancipation, corruption and state capture, governance and social transformation. The conference was an internal deliberative space: its proposed direction had to be adopted and carried into practice through later party and government decisions.
