On 17 January, the ANC’s National Executive Committee elected additional members to the National Working Committee. The NWC carries out NEC decisions and coordinates the organisation’s current work across provinces, regions, branches and parliamentary caucuses. Its formation established the smaller body responsible for day-to-day organisational coordination after the 54th National Conference. The official list records the elected members; the appointment itself did not resolve the divisions the new leadership had promised to address.
