ANC president Jacob Zuma presented the manifesto at the party’s 97th anniversary rally in East London. The programme promised decent work, rural development and land reform, education and health improvements, while naming poverty, unemployment and inequality as ongoing challenges. It was the party’s first national campaign after the split that produced COPE.
