About 4,000 voting delegates gathered at the University of Limpopo for the ANC’s 52nd National Conference. The conference considered the organisation’s direction, state governance and economic and social transformation. It took place amid sharply contested leadership and policy debates, including tension between Thabo Mbeki’s camp and Jacob Zuma’s supporters.
