Organization history 📅 9 October 1963 📍 South Africa

Ten leaders and organisers went on trial, charged with sabotage and related offences. The prosecution sought to connect underground resistance to a conspiracy against the state. The defendants used the courtroom to explain why apartheid repression and the banning of political organisations had driven some activists toward sabotage. The trial made visible a contested history of resistance and state power.
