Zindzi Mandela speaks for the release campaign at Wits

Zindzi Mandela addressed an audience at the University of the Witwatersrand, expressing the anger and determination behind the campaign to release her father. Her role made the family’s experience part of public political action and centered a young woman speaking in her own right. The campaign gave Zindzi’s voice a public platform while Mandela remained imprisoned and was unable to answer in person.
