← Terug naar het dashboard
Biografie 📅 1 April 1955 📍 Zuid-Afrika

An indefinite school boycott began in protest against the Bantu Education Act, which placed Black education under tighter state control and prepared children for subordinate roles in an apartheid economy. Mandela urged parents and ANC members to turn homes and community buildings into centers of learning. The response foregrounded community educators and families as actors defending the right to knowledge.
