Iran invokes the Geneva Protocol over Val Fajr 10 allegations

Madarshahi submitted a complaint about an alleged chemical attack on Garmab and continuing missile attacks, bringing another civilian-protection claim before the UN.

Velayati argued that UN inaction encouraged attacks on cities, shipping and chemical victims, warning that Iran would pursue retaliatory measures in self-defence if effective prevention failed.

Iranian forces and Iraqi Kurdish fighters took Halabja during the Dawn 10 offensive. Iraqi aircraft attacked the city with chemical weapons the next day; that attack is a separate record in Batch 001.

Iraq launched another missile barrage at Tehran and bombed other Iranian cities. Its pressure for a ceasefire coexisted with renewed harm to residential areas.

Mahallati’s follow-up dated the alleged Garmab chemical attack to 11 March, whereas the earlier letter gave 12 March. He also supplied preliminary Iranian casualty figures.

Mahallati alleged a chemical attack on a Kurdish immigrant camp near Marivan and requested an urgent on-site inquiry while evidence was still available.

Velayati protested alleged chemical attacks on Khormal and Halabja, arguing that international silence weakened legal instruments intended to protect civilians.

Mahallati alleged chemical bombing of villages along the Sanandaj–Marivan road and renewed Iran’s request for a UN investigation. The reported injuries and deaths were Iranian claims.

Mashhadi reported Halabja and Iranian border-village chemical allegations to the Conference on Disarmament, urging a prompt UN inquiry before traces disappeared.

Mahallati reported alleged chemical attacks around Sardasht on 22 March and urged international action, adding further civilian allegations to Iran’s requests for investigation.
