Malaysians from different religions and backgrounds gathered in a peace rally in solidarity with victims of the Christchurch mosque attacks. Religious leaders, civil society and public officials took part. The event asserted that anti-Muslim terror required a shared response across communities and borders. The solidarity demonstrated public resistance to division; it did not imply that every participant agreed on all political or religious issues.
