Volunteers led by Harsh Mander began the Karwan-e-Mohabbat, or Caravan of Love, traveling to families affected by lynching and hate violence. The initiative combined testimony, accompaniment and public conscience rather than leaving bereaved families isolated. Visits across several states connected individual suffering to organized resistance against communal hatred, including violence directed at Muslims. The founding journey is dated in Mander’s account of the project.
