The Truth and Reconciliation Commission released its final report on the residential-school system. The Canadian Human Rights Commission honoured survivors and urged implementation of the Calls to Action already issued in June. The report consolidated evidence about institutional harm and its continuing effects, placing responsibility on governments and wider society.
