The publication challenges a Greece-to-Europe-only narrative

Scientists did not merely preserve older texts; they criticized, recombined and expanded them.

The publication emphasizes that later European science depended on centuries of intercultural circulation.

The 18 February 2010 publication surveys mathematical methods in the Aryabhatiya for a modern technical audience.

The study emphasizes procedural mathematics that can be compared with algorithmic thinking in cryptography and computer science.

Aryabhata's trigonometric work demonstrates an independent and influential approach to numerical astronomy.

Published on 31 March 2010, the paper reviews competing explanations of the Old Babylonian number table.

The tablet contains numerical relations among right-triangle sides more than a millennium before Pythagoras.

Historians debate whether the tablet was a teaching aid, reciprocal table or trigonometric object.

The study helps general audiences see Mesopotamia as a source of sophisticated numerical methods, not merely a precursor to Greece.

A paper dated 17 September 2011 proposes a culturally plausible reconstruction of the tablet's numerical sequence.
