BRICS Payment Task Force
The declaration welcomed local-currency settlements and a voluntary, non-binding payments initiative. It did not launch a common BRICS currency.
Leaders recognized task-force work on interoperability and local-currency settlements, inviting further discussion of accessible low-cost payment options; no single BRICS currency was launched.
