Organization history 📅 13 December 1937 📍 South Africa

The third AAC conference in Bloemfontein adopted a constitution inviting African religious, educational, industrial, economic, political and social organisations to affiliate. The conference ran 13-15 December and represented 39 organisations, including three ANC provincial sections. The coalition sought a common platform in response to segregation and disenfranchisement, while debates over unity and the Native Representative Council exposed divergent strategies among African political formations.
