The United States announced that it would resume support for UNRWA, the UN agency serving Palestine refugees, after a funding halt under the previous administration.

On the eighth day, Israeli air strikes and Palestinian rocket fire continued, with international calls for a ceasefire growing.

Palestinians across Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem and communities inside Israel held a general strike against the Gaza bombardment, occupation and dispossession.

Air strikes and rocket fire persisted as the general strike expressed Palestinian solidarity across political and geographic divisions.
