Jordan 's prime minister, Tawfiq Abu al-Huda, adopts a public notice (published in the Official Gazette on 1 June) reminding all those concerned that they should stick to the official name of the country, namely "al-Mamlaka al-Urduniyya al-Hashimiyya" (literally The Hashemite Jordanian Kingdom) in Arabic, and "the Hashemite Kingdom of the Jordanโ in English.
